Over 150 liters of blood were collected in 2024 through initiatives organized in YUNITY Park and West Gate Business District

Genesis Property, one of Romania's leading owners, developers, and operators of office buildings, has supported the donation and collection of more than 150 liters of blood this year, which can help save 614 lives. Starting with World Blood Donor Day and continuing to the present, the company has organized six blood donation initiatives within the communities in its campuses. More than 580 employees from tenant companies in YUNITY Park and West Gate Business District, as well as young residents of West Gate Studios, participated in the blood donation sessions held this year.

“Romania needs approximately 500,000 liters of donated blood annually, yet less than 2% of Romanians donate blood regularly. This is why it is crucial to have as many initiatives as possible to support this cause. By organizing these sessions, we aim to provide an opportunity for everyone in our communities who wishes to donate blood to make a positive social impact,” said Alexandru Paneş, Process Improvement Manager, Genesis Property.

The blood donation initiatives of Genesis Property, a company founded by entrepreneur Liviu Tudor, successfully raise awareness about the importance of blood donation within the communities formed around the company’s properties. The campaigns took place on September 3, October 3-4, and November 13-14 in the YUNITY Park and West Gate Business District campuses, as well as on June 13 at West Gate Studios, marking World Blood Donor Day (established by the WHO on June 14).

According to the National Institute of Blood Transfusion, the blood collected annually at the national level can support the treatment of over one million patients in Romania. Regular blood donation campaigns are essential to maintaining the necessary supplies for surgical interventions, treatments for chronic illnesses, and emergency care.
