First IMMUNE™ - Resilient Office Building in the World Unveiled

Almost 88% of employees in Romania believe that offices will exist in the future, but most say that the post-pandemic workspace needs to be transformed

Over 60% of respondents say that it is important for them to continue having a dedicated office space, even if the work model changes and the office becomes more of a multifunctional space where employees will be able to work, but also interact with their team and relax.

After the pandemic, 45% of employees expect a full return to office life. For another 35%, the working model of the future is hybrid

To maintain a good balance between work and home life, 31.9% of the surveyed Romanian employees want to work only from the office after the pandemic and another 36.2% want to come to the company's HQ 3-4 days a week. Only 9.4% consider working from home 100% of the time to be more adequate for the future. 

A year into the pandemic, almost 55% of employees are working partially or exclusively from the office

“Although 2020 has been challenging in many ways, today people are feeling a little more optimistic than they were in the first few months of the pandemic. Health protection measures implemented in office buildings, many of them recommended by IMMUNE Building Standard™, have made an important contribution to regaining confidence, albeit partial."

36% of employees think they will return to the office in 2021, along with the entire team

While proximity of the office to their home remains an important factor for most employees (65%), the pandemic year increased the importance of health measures taken in the building (for 51% of respondents) and of the workspace structure, with greater emphasis on delimited offices that facilitate distancing.

6 in 10 employees want more health protective measures in their office building

The risk of getting ill remains the main reason why most continue to work from home, although 58% say they interact better with their colleagues when going to the office. Moreover, 41% feel that returning to the office can help them maintain a better work-life balance and 22% even say they can avoid psycho-emotional health problems this way, shows the survey conducted for Genesis Property.
